4 security personnel injured in militant attack in JK

Four security personnel were injured when militants hurled a grenade at a police station in Baramulla district of Jammu and Kashmir, official sources said in Srinagar.

Four security personnel were injured on Friday when militants hurled a grenade at a police station in Baramulla district of Jammu and Kashmir, official sources said in Srinagar.

The grenade was lobbed by the ultras at around 11.20 am which landed inside the compound of Baramulla police station, the sources said, adding two CRPF personnel and two policemen were injured in the explosion.

No Militant outfit has claimed responsibility for the attack so far.

This is the first attack on security forces in the valley since the announcement of election schedule in the state by Election Commission on October 19.
