40 people injured in Assam bus accident

At least 40 passengers have been injured when the mini-bus they were travelling in skidded off in Assam.

At least 40 passengers were injured, ten of them seriously, when the mini-bus they were travelling in skidded off at A T Road in Upper Assam's Jorhat on Thursday morning.

The police said the accident took place near Coca Cola factory in Jorhat around 10.30 am when the bus was carrying passengers from Dergaon to Jorhat, police said.

The injured people were admitted to Civil Hospital in Jorhat. The driver of the bus fled after the accident.
