42 witnesses summoned in Jaya case; trial on March 18

The Special Court trying the disproportionate assets case against former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa has posted the case for further trial commencing on March 18.

The Special Court trying the disproportionate assets case against former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa has posted the case for further trial commencing on March 18.

When the case came up, Judge BM Mallikarjunaiah ordered 42 prosecution witnesses to be summoned for cross examination between March 18-26.

The order was passed on a memo filed by Special Public Prosecutor B V Acharya for recalling 45 witnesses.

The court has allowed the plea of the prosecution for recall of witnesses on February 25.
