The three Nepali citizens including one ex-personnel of Indian Army, were swept away by swollen Mahakali river near Indo-Nepal border when the tube they were travelling on overturned on June 27.

The deceased were later identified as Nar Bahadur Chand, Narendra Bahadur Chand and Manohar Singh.

In another incident, two minor boys drowned into a pond where rain water had accumulated near here the same day, police said.

Roads connecting this hilly town with other parts of the state have also been damaged due to heavy rains in the last few days, said District Magistrate N S Negi.
