On Tuesday, 46 of them complied with the bail conditions, furnishing surety of Rs 3000 and a ‘local surety,´ which means the arrested seeking bail must cite a local contact person, who should stand guarantee for the detainee.
However the others could not manage to secure local contacts, leading to their stay in the jail for the third successive night.
On Sunday last, police raided a farmhouse in Kunchanakuppa and arrested 101 persons, including 38 foreign nationals and booked them under various sections of Excise act.
