Six people were injured as rival factions belonging a minority community opened fire and clashed with each other near an idgah in Madaipur village in Mandhata police station area in Pratapgrah on Monday.
Six people including Mohd. Yunus (75), Insaf (22), Imtiyaz (30), Waris (50), Abid Ali (65), Mobin (35) suffered pellet injuries as rival factions opened fire following a clash, in-charge of Mandhata police station Baliram Misra said.
The Eid-ul-Zuha prayers were not held at the idgah because of the tension over the incident, Misra said.
An FIR has been lodged in this connection and four people have been arrested, he said, adding that two country made guns have been recovered from them.
The injured were admitted to community health centre from where one with serious injury has been sent to district hospital.
