IN A landmark achievement, doctors of Birla Hospital removed the heaviest tumour weighing 66 kg from a 25-year-old- tribal-woman?s womb in Satna. Sukhiya Sakat, a resident of Sidhi district, before operation had put on 102 kg weight.

After the operation, the hospital officials have started preparations to approach the Genius Book of World Record for entry. Before this operation, a woman was operated upon for the heaviest ovarian tumour of 41 kg in Florida, USA, on February 16, 1996, the Hospital director Dr SK Maheshwari told Hindustan Times.

He said the operation has been performed in the shortest record time of one and a half hour and the two feet big wide tumor weighing 66 kg was removed as a single lump.
