7 killed, 30 injured in road mishap in Poonch

Seven persons were on Tuesday filed and 30 others injured, some of them seriously, when a matador in which they were travelling skidded off the road and feel into Trungli river in Poonch district in Poonch.

The overcrowded matador, which was on its way from Noona Bandi to Poonch, skidded off the road at Bandi Chachian, about 10-kms from here, and rolled down into the river, officials said.

Three passengers died on the spot, while four died in the hospital, they said, adding 30 persons, who were injured in the mishap were admitted in the district hospital at Poonch.
