A local court has sentenced a man to seven years rigorous imprisonment in a case relating to an attempt to murder a woman in 2009.

A local court has sentenced a man to seven years rigorous imprisonment in a case relating to an attempt to murder a woman in 2009.
According to prosecution, 33-year-old Senthil was having an illicit relationship with a 40-year-old woman. He used to quarrel with her frequently and suspected that she was having affairs with other men also.
Following an altercation on August 16,2009, he slashed her hand and neck with a sickle inflicting serious injuries.
An attempt to murder case was registered against him.
Gobichettipalayam Subordinate Court Judge, Vasanthaleela, sentenced him to seven years RI on Friday.
