8-day police custody for gang members who leaked RRB papers

A local court on Monday sent 11 members of an alleged gang which leaked Railway Recruitment Board examination papers to eight days police custody and 94 aspiring candidates to 11 days Judicial custody.

The Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate (Court V) sent Dheerendra Kumar, Vashistha Kumar, Arun Kumar, Surendra Kumar, Vinay Kumar, Priyaranjan Kumar, Krishnanand, Vinod Kumar, Praveen Kumar, Shailendra Kumar and Rajesh Kumar, all hailing from Bihar, to eight days police custody, according to an official.

The Rajasthan-SOG and UP-STF had in a joint operation arrested 105 people yesterday in connection with leakage of RRB question paper that led to cancellation of examination scheduled the same day for recruitment of Assistant Station Masters, they said.

According to official, all those arrested were booked under section 419/420/120 (B) of IPC, 5/6 of Official Secret Act and 3/6 of Rajasthan Examination (Prevention of unfair means) Act.
