90-year-old raped in Ghaziabad

A 22-year-old man was arrested on Friday for allegedly raping a 90-year-old woman at her house in the Ganauli area of Loni, Ghaziabad.

A 22-year-old man was arrested on Friday for allegedly raping a 90-year-old woman at her house in the Ganauli area of Loni, Ghaziabad.

Police said Kapil Kumar raped the woman twice on Friday afternoon when she was alone at home. Two passersby, hearing her cries for help, broke open the door and found Kumar in the act.

Kumar fled but he was caught, beaten up and handed over to the police. A complaint was registered at the Loni police station. Police said Kumar was drunk when he committed the crime. They claimed he had confessed.

The woman was examined and treated at MMG Hospital in Ghaziabad.
