Absent ADSWs cause hardship to AU students

They are forced to wait for several hours at the DSW office. The handicapped students suffer the most as they wait for the officials along the narrow passage in front of DSW office to get their papers attested. The students welfare department of AU has a team of ADSWs headed by DSW Prof Jagdamba Singh.
The department gives the clearance to the candidates for admissions under weightage, admission to hostels, scholarships besides taking care of several other formalities as well.
Students complain that the ADSWs rarely attend the office and prefer students coming to their respective departments for clearance and attestation of papers.
The six member team of ADSWs including Dr Satya Narayan, Dr Vishwa Mohan, Dr Kishwar Jabin Nasreen, Dr Rajeev Singh, Dr IR Siddiqui and Dr Deep Shukla who are supposed to be present in the office on the scheduled time once a week according to their own preference.
The absence of the ADSWs from the office creates problem for the students who wait four two three hour everyday to get their papers attested.
Among these ADSWs few never visit the office except few days in a year including the quarterly meetings of the ADSWs. The absence of ADSWs from the office results in congregation of students who often loose control and express their resentment.
The lack of interest of the ADSWs towards their duty has also increased the work of DSW Prof Jagdamba Singh who goes through thousands of applications and disposes them daily.
