All the accused — Dr Irfan, Asif Iqbal, Aziz, Shakeel and Naseem — who had been in the district jail in Faizabad since their arrest in connection with the attack, were shifted to the Naini jail amidst tight security on Tuesday evening.

The district jail authorities had been demanding that the accused be transferred to a more secure jail, sources said adding that the district court where they were being tried had later allowed their transfer.

The next date for hearing of the case against them is November 14.
