The delegation met the district magistrate to apprise him of the latest situation prevailing in the city following State Minority Welfare Minister Yaqoob Khan’s announcement for a reward of Rs 51 core for the person who would kill Danish cartoonist for ridiculing the Prophet.

After meeting the district magistrate, national convenor of the Bajrang Dal Prakash Sharma told newsmen that if any particular community was permitted to hold protests, it might whip up communal passion as had happened earlier in the city earlier.

The Bajrang Dal and VHP leaders were satisfied with the assurance given by the district magistrate during their meeting with him. Sahrma said the district magistrate had assured them stating that the administration was keeping a vigil on all the developments which might disturb the communal harmony of the city.

The delegation included former MP Prem Manohar, Deepak Sharma, Shailendra Dixit, Atul Diwedi Ramnath Mahendra and Pradeep Gupta.

Meanwhile, city incharge of Hindu Jagran Manch youth wing announced a reward for someone who would kill the noted painter M F Hussain for his alleged paintings of Hindu goddesses. A press communiqué issued by Sanjai Vishwakarma alleged that on many occasions painter MF Hussain had painted the objectionable picture of Hidu goddesses and Hindus would not forgive Hussain for this act.
