National champion Pankaj Advani, displayed his superb form as he thrashed Thai challenger C Praput 5-0 to win the fourth Asian Billiards Championship in Pune.

Beginning confidently, Advani went on to win all the five frames without much challenge despite his rival being a former world champion and one who has caused major upsets in the ongoing championship.

Praput was unable to show his skills and was rather held as hostage by Advani, who continued to thrive on his form.

Such was the Indian’s domination that in the third and fourth frame, Praput went without a single point.

Advani, who had defeated the defending champion Devendra Joshi in the quarterfinals, set up the game from the first frame itself, which was indication of things that were to come.

He had an unfinished break of 90 in the first in which Praput was able to manage 64 points only.
