More than 10,000 party workers marched to the state secretariat under 'Dispur Chalo' programme to protest against the continuous price rise.

Addressing the party members outside the state secretariat, AGP president Chandra Mohan Patowary demanded chief minister's resignation.

He further alleged that both state and Centre failed to check the price rise and the party would continue to protest till the prices come down.

Former Chief Minister Prafulla Kumar Mahanta, Working President Phani Bhushan Choudhury, Rajya Sabha MP Birendra Prasad Baishya and several other senior leaders also addressed the rally.

The leaders also alleged that the present Congress-led government has also failed to provide security to the people of the state.
