Tamil Nadu government on Monday ordered Rs five lakh as financial aid to the family of a CRPF jawan, killed in a militants' attack in Jammu and Kashmir in August.

R Rajasekar of Tiruvannamalai district was killed when he was shot at point blank range by terrorists on August 31 in a attack near the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly complex.

An official press release here said Chief Minister M Karunanidhi announced the cash relief from the Kargil Relief Fund after considering the impoverished conditions of Rajasekar's family and also ordered appointing his wife Amudha as a noon meal worker in a local government school.
