Action against KPUC staffer
AU AUTHORITIES have initiated action against an employee of KPUC hostel found guilty of drawing salary as librarian and residing in the hostel for the last 16 years. The authorities also directed to deduct House Rent Allowance (HRA) from his salary. Further action could be taken after completion of the investigation.
A three-member committee comprising DSW, chief warden and librarian was formed to inquire into the charges levelled against Anil Kumar Singh, a clerk at KPUC hostel. Charges were framed against Singh for drawing the salary of a librarian and residing in the hostel besides claiming HRA. The committee headed by DSW Prof Jagdamba Singh found that Singh’s claims as librarian were baseless. “We have found no such documents at the registrar office justifying his claims. All his claims are baseless. The report has been submitted to the Finance department and the department has issued directives to deduct the HRA from his salary”, informed Prof Singh. Earlier, KPUC hostel superintendent Dr Ram Sewak Dubey complained to the AU authorities about irregularities and undisciplined conduct of Anil Kumar Singh but no action was taken.
