Ajmer IOC pipeline fire brought under control

A fire broke out after a leakage in a crude oil pipeline of Indian Oil Corporation near Gothiyala village, about 55 kms from Ajmer this evening, but it was controlled successfully, police said.

There was no loss of life and property, Superintendent of Police Sunil Mathur said.

Senior police and civil officials, IOC personnel and fire-tenders reached the spot immediately after the fire broke out and it was successfully controlled, Mathur said.

Mathur said Divisional Commissioner Deepak Upreti has asked the IOC officials to depute guards near the pipeline and initiate patrolling in the wee hours.
