Akshay’s flight plans for Twinkle
Hi da hi my sizzling shasliks! I was just telling my sports enthusiast buddy about how glad I was that the IPL is over and he commented that the next circus was beginning later this week.
Okay, I’ve heard about Akshay Kumar playing the knight in the shining armour to the lady in distress in real and reel life so many times ki kya kahoon! But this piece of information is something I must share with you for not only does it involve his biwi Twinkle Khanna, but it’s something that required a lot of planning and coordination.
Anyway, it so happened that Tina bhabhi had gone to Milan for some work and just when she was supposed to return to Mumbai, most flight plans were suspended… no thanks to the volcanic ash caused crisis in Europe. My titli from Italy tells me that unable to be stranded for long, she called up Akki, who was in Vancouver, Canada, shooting with Sonam Kapoor for Anees Bazmee’s Thank You. Bas, aur kya? Akki swung into action and made a series of calls to find how wifey could fly back home.
Eventually, after considering various options, Akki found out that the best way home for Tina was to first take a train to Rome. From there, she had to board the flight... and had to change flights at four different cities on the way, till she finally reached Mumbai, informs my khabru.
Now, although I do agree that taking five flights to reach a place can be a real pain in the neck, I must say it’s to Akki’s perfect planning that when Tina landed in Mumbai, she looked as fresh as a daffodil. Kewl, maan gaye Akki!
