Walking the ramp on March 31, the actor — brand ambassador for Levi’s — walked to his wife Twinkle, seated in the audience, and asked her to unbutton his jeans. Two days later, social activist Anil Nair filed a complaint against the actor, his wife and organisers for showing obscenity in public.

“We’ll make the arrests soon and then take their statements,” Assistant Commissioner of Police Arvind Mahabdi said.

The police were yet to send summons to the couple, the actor’s spokesperson Sanchita said. “We’ll respond when the police approach us,” she said. The charges are bailable but if found guilty, the couple could spend three months in jail.

A case has also been filed in Meerut against them, PTI said. It'll be heard on April 13.
