Warikar and Thevar, both helpers of Air Works which looked after the maintenance of Ambani's helicopter, were arrested on May 4 for allegedly planting pebbles in the gearbox cap of the helicopter.

According to the Mumbai crime branch, Warikar and Thevar allegedly planted seven pebbles in the gearbox cap and had done it due to a dispute between the Air Works management and the 52 union members.

The remand application states that the crime branch wants to verify if the arrested duo were acting on the instructions of someone else.

According to the crime branch, the duo had planted the pebbles to sabotage Ambani's helicopter knowing that it would attract attention.

However, the tampering was detected by Bharat Borge, Air Works technician, who allegedly committed suicide in April after he was questioned by the crime branch.
