The helipad which is ‘unauthorised’ in the process of getting regularised the Ambani’s have paid a penalty of Rs 29.12 lakh to the civic body to process it.

But permissions from the police, navy, civil aviation and urban development department are still pending.

“The regularisation process will be complete only after they get all the permissions. We will issue a regularisation letter after that,” said Mangesh Tambe, director (Engineering Services and Projects), BMC.

He said modification was awaited in the development control rules, where helipad permissions will be given for terraces, cantilevers or to side open spaces if it does not pose a problem to the navy or coastal security.
