Amisha gets candid
The glam gal spills some secrets about her life. 'I am not hot'india Updated: May 08, 2006 17:44 IST
It is said that true beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder. And porcelain beauty Amisha Patel agrees as much. The actress with flawless skin gets candid as she spills the secret behind her ravishing looks and her relation with 'close pal' Vikram Bhatt.
BEAUTY IS NATURAL
According to Amisha, natural beauty lasts longer than the cosmetic one. And that's why both in real as well as in reel life, she keeps her skin devoid of any make-up.
Ask about her deglamourized look and she answers, "I don't believe in wearing layers of make-up to look beautiful. Even in real life, I prefer to be as natural as possible. I prefer staying away from make up. I don't want to hide my natural beauty under make-up. And the kind of gorgeous looks I have, I don't think I need any touch ups."
She further adds, "When I had accepted the role in Gadar, loads of people in the industry advised me not to debut my career with such a deglamourised role. I opted for a very minimal look and it clicked! So, I prefer a natural look both in the films as well as otherwise. I think my work and not my make-up should say it all about my talent."
IT'S MY LIFE!
Though she is dating director Vikram Bhatt in reality, Amisha Patel brushes aside any such rumours. She does not want to make her private life public.
So, is Amisha's forthcoming film Ankahee based on Vikram Bhatt's ex-affair with glam siren Sushmita Sen? "I have no knowledge about it. All I know is that it's astory of a married doctor who falls in love with a beauty queen. I am playing the character of a married woman and I think lot of married women will identify themselves with this character," explains Amisha.
I DON'T CARE
Amisha also dismisses the allegations that she gets a project only because of her relationship with Vikram Bhatt. "If I get movie offers, people say I have an affair with Vikram. If I don't get his films, then they say we are going through a bad phase of affair. Now I don't give much ear to all this crap," she concludes.
