Amritsar was coldest in the northern plains on Saturday, registering a low of 6.6 degree Celsius while the mercury hovered between nine and ten degrees in most other places of the region.

Admapur recorded a minimum temperature of 6.8 degree Celsius, sources at the Air Force station there said.

At other Air Force stations of the region, the minimum temperature was recorded as 9 degree C at Halwara, 10.4 degree C at Pathankot, 11 degree C at Chandigarh, 9 degree C at Bathinda, 10.2 degree C at Ambala, 7.8 degree C at Udhampur and 9.7 degree C at Jammu, the sources said.

About weather forecast for Sunday, they said the sky will be cloudy to partly cloudy with fog, mist and haze in the morning hours.
