Ankit, Ankur hit centuries for Khanuja Club

Ankit and Ankur batted with gay abandon against a weak Lahore Academy attack as runs flowed freely from their blades. They belted brilliant centuries. First it was Ankit Dane who took the attack to the rival camp and along with Ankur Palanpure succeeded in laying a good foundation for the Khanuja XI adding 263 runs for the third wicket partnership.

Ankit after scoring 129 was back in the pavilion with 18 boundaries under his belt. Gagandeep Khanjua scored 24 while Ankur Palapure scored an unbeaten 129 with 10 fours to help his team reach 350/6 and declare the innings. Anand Dangre and Aditya Mishra took three and two wickets respectively.

Lahore Academy in their first innings was 92/2 at the end of first days play. Sunny scored 29 while Vikas Mishra scored 20 but both were dismissed.

Rookie Mohamed Hussian was going strong on 27 at the draw of stumps. Ankur and Varun captured a wicket each. Indore Sports take first innings lead: In the second match played at Emerald Heights International ground II, North Star batting first was able to score just 112 runs in 25 overs losing all their wickets.

A Kala scored 25. Robin Jain and Anand Bobby scored 24 runs each. Vaibhav Gangwal bowled brilliantly to capture 6 for 27 while Rohit Sharma took 2 for 12 to help their team skittle out the opposition for a meagre 112.

In reply, Indore Sports scored 148 in 59.1 losing all their wickets but managed in taking a first innings lead of 36 runs. Kunal Babbar 30, Akshay Gautam 26 and Poras Thakkur 24 were the main scorers for their team. Robin Jain bowled brilliantly to capture 5 for 46 while Gaurav took 2 for 28.

North Star in their second innings is yet to open its account.
