Annual art expo opens

The 26TH annual art exhibition and the fourth annual photography exhibition opened at UP State Lalit Kala Akademi on Thursday. PWD Minister Shiv Pal Yadav inaugurated the exhibition and congratulated the artists and state awardees. The exhibition showcases a total of 193 artworks that contain 77 paintings, 63 sculptures, 21 graphics and 27 drawings.

PWD Minister Shiv Pal Yadav inaugurated the exhibition and congratulated the artists and state awardees. The exhibition showcases a total of 193 artworks that contain 77 paintings, 63 sculptures, 21 graphics and 27 drawings. Apart from this it showed photographs of 95 artists. One point needs to be noted is that the exhibition showcased some of the finest pieces of art. Visitors appreciated the quality of work. Even the artist fraternity present praised the fineness in the works.

There were a total of state awardees for art- Sunil Kumar, Sanjeev Kishore Gautam, Satyadheer Singh, Shalini Ved Prakash, Anand Prakash, Anil Kumar, Chandrashekhar, Amit Kumar, Manisha Singh and Archana Das. All of them received Rs 10,000 each. The awardees in photography were- Avijeet Rai, Chinmaya Bhattacharya, Jaideep Mukherjee, Debashish Sahu and Praveen Rawat. They received Rs 5,000 each.
