Another Andhra student shot at in US

Pulluru Shashank, studying Management Consulting at Middle Tennessee State University at Murfreesboro, is the sixth student from the state to be attacked in the US since Dec 2007, reports Ashok Das.

Another student from Andhra Pradesh was attacked in the US, on Saturday.

Pulluru Shashank, studying Management Consulting at Middle Tennessee State University at Murfreesboro, is the sixth student from the state to be attacked in the US since December 2007. While he is lucky to be alive, five others were not.

Shashank, from Hanamkonda in Warangal district, about 150 kms from Hyderabad, was operated upon and is out of danger, his uncle, Pulluru Ashok Kumar said. “His friends called... He was fired at by some Black people... (the students) are scared after the attack,” he said.

Shashank is due to complete his MBA late this year. His father P. Sudhakar is a government employee while mother is a homemaker.
