In a repeat of Friday's incident, the low intensity blast took place in a toilet adjacent to the fast track court at midday, police said, adding that no casualty was reported.
Police, however, termed the incident as a "mischievous act", saying the place and intensity of the explosion indicated that it was aimed at disrupting court proceedings.
Unidentified persons had set off a cracker in a public toilet in the compound on Friday also.
Protesting the alleged lack of security in the court area, members of Avadh Bar Association on Saturday suspended work. Lawyers also staged a demonstration demanding adequate security on premises.
"We are alert and taking all steps necessary to check its recurrence," SSP, Lucknow, Akhil Kumar said.
