"Faheem was to replace the top LeT commander Raju alias Mudasir Gujri who was arrested a few days ago," said a police spokesman.
Faheem had been assigned the responsibility of procuring arms and ammunition for LeT cadres and supplying grenades for attacks, according to the spokesman.
"He was also given the responsibility of transferring Pakistani fidayeens from one place to another for suicide attacks in Srinagar," he said.
The spokesman said arms and ammunition including two AK-47 rifles, four magazines, 100 AK-47 rounds, two pistols, one wireless set and two pistol magazines were recovered from the arrested guerrilla.
