The assault was so strong that the official and his team had to take refuge in a near-by building to save their lives. In the incident three girls reportedly sustained burn injuries when the attackers set ablaze the temporary roof over an illegally constructed wall. In view of the gravity of the situation, police personnel from several stations were rushed to Tenapur village. Nayab tehsildaar Gulab Chandra who was rescued by the school teachers, also lost his belongings in the attack.

In view of the gravity of the situation, police personnel from several stations were rushed to Tenapur village. Nayab tehsildaar Gulab Chandra who was rescued by the school teachers, also lost his belongings in the attack. He later lodged an FIR against 10 persons. Police arrested two persons.
The police have cordoned off the entire village and a door-to-door search operation was being carried out to nab the other identified miscreants.
According to information, nayab tehsildar sadar, Gulab Chandra, had gone to Tenapur village with his team following a complaint by a teacher Sadhna Shukla to SDM RN Vajpayee about encroachment on the school land.
As the official arrived to demolish the illegal construction on the school premises, one Lakhan Singh confronted him with two dozen of his accomplices including his sons, brother and friends. The goons manhandled the Gulab Chandra and started throwing stones at the team..
The team members had to run and take shelter in the primary school from where they passed on information to SDM RN Vajpayee and circle officer Pavitra Mohan Tripathi, who were at that time working on a complaint in Sadh.
Meanwhile, the infuriated men of Lakhan Singh set ablaze the temporary roof over the wall built around the encroached land, in which three girls allegedly sustained burn injuries. Soon after getting the information, the SDM and CO rushed to Tenapur village with the police force of Patara, Bheetargaon, Birhar, Sadh and Ghatampur.
After seeing the police force, Gulab Chandra and others came out of the building.
