Moulbi Farooq Imamam from Jamia Masjid said, "We have taken out a procession against Israel and America. Israel is the illegitimate child of America which has occupied Palestine. It has set records in brutality and terror. It is true that children, women, elderly people and everybody else have been killed there. We hope that the Parliament will consider our plea and all the killings will be stopped soon."

The protesters in Poonch also burnt the national flag of Israel.

Another protester from Coimbatore said, "By now more than 200 people have been killed in Gaza and the government is still silent. We urge the world countries to take up this matter and request Israel to stop the killing innocent people out there."

Men, women and even children from Jama'at-e-Islamic Hind staged a protest in Coimbatore urging the world to join hands in fighting against brutal killings.

The protestors also urged the government of India to condemn this act and send back the Israel Ambassador from India.

The offensive launched by Israel on July 9 on the Gaza strip has already claimed the lives of 220 civilians in Palestine. According to a UN estimate, about 1,370 homes have been destroyed in Gaza and more than 18,000 people have been displaced in the conflict.
