Lt Gen Bakshi, who will take charge as general officer commanding in chief, has said that he would be visiting Uttarakhand next week to assess the situation.

Sources have said that there are now no stranded pilgrims in Gangotri, Yamnotri, Kedarnath and Hemkund Sahib while around 400 pilgrims are still stranded at Badrinath.
