Arrest Jatia for tree-felling: Cong

STATE CONGRESS general secretary and spokesperson Manak Agarwal today demanded arrest of State BJP president Satyanarayan Jatia for alleged felling of two trees at Jatia?s residence- C-11 at Link Road No. 3. In a statement, Agarwal alleged that two trees were felled illegally on the premises.

He alleged lakhs of rupees were being spent on renovation of the State BJP president Jatia’s bungalow which was allotted to him recently.

Earlier, Agarwal with the party workers staged a dharna on Thursday at TT Nagar police station to lodge an FIR in this connection. However, the police reportedly did not entertain his complaint.

When contacted, State BJP spokesperson Umashankar Gupta said he was not aware of what had taken place.
