After Aamir Khan, Sunny Deol and Ajay Devgan, Arshad Warsi will join the league of actor turned director with an as-yet-untitled film which he is producing himself.

He's even written the story. The project is expected to go on the floors by June.

First choice
Incidentally the same movie was to be directed by Jaideep Sen earlier. Sen has worked with Warsi in Rakesh Roshan's Krazzzzy 4.

During the filming of the film, Warsi narrated his script to Sen and asked him to direct it. Sen agreed then opted out over the remuneration issue. Later, Kabir Kaushik who directed Warsi in Sehar was supposed to step in.

"But Kaushik was finding it difficult to focus on the project since he's busy with the Deol's home production Chamkoo. Since Arshad wants to start the film in June he's decided to direct it himself," says a source.

Once he took the decision to change direction, Warsi has been cutting down on movies. He recently opted out of Leena Yadav's Teen Patti.
