State home secretary Deepak Kumar and special director general of police (law and order) Brij Lal said in Lucknow: "We hope to get the report in a week".

Former lab director SN Tiwari expressed reservation about the tests. He said ashes leave little space to determine blood groups and other details.

Also, to find out if the samples were of human beings, one needed larger pieces of bones, he said.
