A reliable left handed batsmen, Asim Kamal is a batsman who can bind the middle order of the team.

Kamal made a late entry into the international scene as his Test debut came against South Africa, at the age of 27. But he did not lose any time as he impressed in his debut with a brilliant knock of 99.

Coming back into side for the Tests against India, Kamal continued to impress. In this series he showed rare discipline and composure, batting well with the tail to score two half-centuries.
