ATS probe Headley's visit in Saurashtra region

Gujarat Anti Terrorist Squad (ATS) has launched an investigation in Saurashtra to find out whether American terror suspect David Headley had visited the region or was in touch with any anti-national element here, sources said.

A team of ATS officials had arrived here yesterday and had launched the investigation with the help of city's Special Operation Group (SOG).

Top police officials in the city do not want to reveal anything about the ATS visit to Saurashtra region.

City Police Commissioner Geetha Johri could not be contacted despite repeated attempts.

David Headly has been arrested by FBI for plotting terror attack in the US and India. He is also suspected to be behind the 2611 attack in Mumbai.
