AU back paper examinations from tomorrow

BACK PAPER/Improvement examinations of Allahabad University will begin at all its constituent colleges as well as the varsity from September 15 and will conclude on September 18.

On day one itself, as many as 5000 students will appear in the examinations at AU alone.

The varsity has completed all preparations for the examinations and has formed three flying squads and one team of observers to ensure that exams take place in a free and fair manner.

About the doubts in the minds of the students, AU Controller of Examinations Prof HS Upadhyaya clarified that the exams will start from Friday and that BA-I, BA-III and BSc-I and BSc-III students will appear in the exams in the morning shift between 7.30 am and 10.30 am while students of BA-II and BSc-II will take their exams in the second shift between 2.30 pm and 5.30 pm.

At AU, these exams will take place on the Senate Hall Campus, Law faculty and MONIRBA. During the same hours the exams will be also take place in all the AU constituent colleges.

Prof Upadhyaya informed that on September 15 and 16 around 5000 students will appear for the exams at AU only.

On day three, the number of examinees will dip. Prof Upadhaya informed that in order to ensure that the exams takes place without an incident, AU Proctor Prof Jata Shankar has sought the help of district administration as well as the district police who have promised to depute adequate security personnel on the campus during the days of these exams.

He informed that out of the three flying squads, one will cover the varsity, the other will take care of the colleges while the third squad, comprising of only female teachers, has been formed solely for the girls student. He informed the varsity has also formed a team of observers comprising of all the Deans and some very senior AU teachers who will take round of the various centres and ensure that the exams are held in a free and fair manner.

Prof Upadhaya informed that the examinees will be allowed to appear for only those papers for which they have specifically applied for. He said that if student wishes to abstain from the examination of a particular paper for which he has applied for, he will have to inform the Controller through an application for it failing which they will be marked absent.
