ALLAHABAD UNIVERSITY (AU) authorities directed the SRN Hospital and Moti Lal Nehru Medical College (MLNMC) authorities to change their attitude and transform the hospital and college into an ideal institution in order to meet the norms and status of the Central university.

These directions were given by AU officiating AU vice-chancellor Prof Janak Pandey, registrar Firdous A wani , finance officer S Parabramaiah and proctor Prof Jata Shankar in a meeting with SRN Hospital and MLNMC authorities during a surprise visit on Wednesday.
The authorities discussed in detail the number of teachers in medial college, vacant posts, facilities at the hospital, security system and cleaning of the institutions during the meeting. Prof Pandey discussed the problems and facilities in the hospital with the principal and the security officer. He stressed upon improving the cleanliness and security of the hospital. The authorities also discussed disbursement of salaries against submission of bills. AU Registrar Firdous A wani said that the authorities inquired about the entire set-up and requirements of the MLNMC and SRN Hospital. He said that the varsity would try to transform MLNMC and SRN hospital into an ideal institution.
Those present in the meeting included principal Dr PC Saxena, Prof DR Singh, Prof AN Verma, Dr Manju Verma, Dr SN Mishra, Dr SK Shukla, Dr ST Imam, Dr RP Mishra, Dr Indu Kannaujia and many officials of the hospital.
