Irked over the anti-employee decision of KNPGMI secretary Inder Khosla to delink the institute from AU, a delegation of AUCKU, led by AUCKU president Kanan Dasgupta, met Rahul Gandhi on Friday evening. The members apprised Gandhi about the autocratic administration and harassment of employees by the secretary and urged him to check the move to delink the institute from AU and to implement the  Central University Act 2005.

Dasgupta informed Rahul that the Central Government passed a resolution in favour of KNPGMI by recognising it as a constituent unit of AU. The Central University Act 2005 made the employees of KNPGMI eligible for the benefits given to the employees as per the Central university norms.

The members also charged Khosla with adopting an anti-employee approach and trying to deprive the employees of facilities by delinking the institute from the Allahabad Central University.

Dasgupta claimed that Gandhi assured them of implementation of the Allahabad Central University Act 2005, safeguarding the rights of the employees and maintaining the service provided to citizens by the Central Government.
