AWWA assures help to war widows
War Widows were felicitated at a function organised by the Army Wives? Welfare Association. AWWA, Allahabad sub-area president Shashi Yadav assured the war widows of continued support and all possible assistance from the Army and civil administration. She emphasised the need for widows to be self-reliant. She also presented them gifts and shawls.

Col Joshi takes charge: Colonel SM SM Joshi took over the command of 508 Army Base Workshop, Allahabad from Brigadier RK Sharma who is posted as managing director of the Workshop.
Brigadier RK Sharma was commissioned at the Indian Military Academy, Dehradun in 1974. He completed his engineering from CEM, Pune and MCEME, Secunderabad.
He has had several prestigious appointments, including instructor of the Indian Army Training Team, Botswana (Southern Africa) and commanded director head at DLRL, Hyderabad, 505 Army Base Workshop.
