AWWA holds summer camp for children

THE ARMY Wives? Welfare Association (AWWA) organised a summer camp 2006 for children between the age group of 7 and 16 years on Monday at the Army School, New Cantt under the aegis of HQ MP, C and A Sub Area.

The camp includes a variety of extra-curricular activities like yoga, aerobics, painting, art and craft, dance, music classes, computer literacy and equestrian.

The outdoor activities involve visits to various historical places, Air Force Station, Bamrauli and Nandan Kanan Water Retreat.

At least 70 children of Army personnel would be participating in the camp. “The camp will conclude on June 14th, 2006 with a Camp Fire,” said SM Sharma Wing Commander, PRO, Ministry of Defence, Allahabad, in a Press release.
