Siddiqui, in his complaint, accused Shoaib of cheating, cruelty to woman and criminal conspiracy, Banjara Hills Police Inspector Iqbal Siddiqui said.

"We received the complaint and we have not booked any case so far. We are verifying the facts," the police official said.

Earlier in the day, Shoaib had confirmed that he would go ahead with his marriage with Sania Mirza on April 15 in Hyderabad but refused to clarify his version on his alleged marriage with Ayesha saying that his lawyer will deal with the issue.
