"In the minds of the party and the people, there will be no satisfaction till a grand Ram temple is built in Ayodhya. There is a temple there even today. But your faith that a temple which matches the expectations and grandeur of Lord Ram should be built will definitely be fulfilled," Advani said at an election rally in Padrauna.
Pledging to fight against terrorism, ensuring implementation of the Ladli Laxmi scheme for the girl child, making Sarva Siksha Abhiyan more effective were some of the other poll promises Advani made in Padrauna.
The former Deputy Prime Minister said if he forms a government at the Centre he would work for providing computer literacy to "every boy and girl in villages". He said computer literacy would provide jobs to 1.2 crore people.
He flayed the BSP government in Uttar Pradesh as well as the erstwhile Samajwadi Party government alleging they had "polluted the state with their corruption and the rise in crime. They are like Sapnath and Nagnath (one more deadly than the other)," Advani said.
