The theme song — Dilli chalein, chalna hai, chal chal, chalna hai — has been written by Gulzar and is being composed by Shanker, Ehsan and Loy. Aishwarya Rai and Shah Rukh Khan also figure in the list of other celebrities who would be roped in to promote the Games in the country and abroad.

The first stop for the stars will be Melbourne, which will host this year's Games. A musical extravaganza will be presented at the closing ceremony of the Melbourne Games on March 26, showcasing Delhi's culture and heritage.

A presentation of the plan for the 11-minute programme was made to Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit on Tuesday. UD Minister A.K. Walia, IOA chief Suresh Kalmadi, Gulzar and senior officers reviewed the programme.
