Babbar reached Solanki’s residence at around 9 am from the State Capital and met Solanki’s sons Irfaan and Rizwan, and consoled them. After a meeting with them, he also met the wife and mother of the MLA and consoled them.

After staying at the MLA’s residence for about an hour, he left for State Capital.

However, before leaving, Babbar while talking to mediapersons, said that no wonder the political vacuum created by the sad demise of Haji Mushtaq Solanki could never be filled but said that family members of the MLA should follow in the footsteps of Solanki.

He said that Solanki was not only a good politician but also a great human being and did not believe in caste and creed. He said it was because of this that the city witnessed such a huge turnout at his funeral procession not only including people from all caste and creed but also across all political parties.

Reminiscing his relationship with Solanki, Babbar said that during the time of Assembly elections, Solanki called him up and asked him to come to the city.

However, he (Babbar) expressed his reluctance citing a busy scheduled but Solanki refused to take a No. It was his (Solanki’s) unrelenting request that he was forced to visit the city, said Babbar.
