Baby watch
Here’s how to keep your infant safe and secure wherever you might be by Veenu Singh.
Your little bundle of joy will take no time to turn into an unmanageable brat requiring constant monitoring. And this can be quite a job as the child’s inquisitiveness will push him / her to places in the house that could prove to be dangerous.
“My eight-month-old daughter has just started crawling and I really wish I had an extra pair of hands and an extra set of eyes or at least CCTV to ensure that she doesn’t go around poking her fingers into plug points or falling off chairs,” says visibly hassled mother Amrita Dhatt.
Well, CCTV might be a bit much, but several manufacturers of baby and home products have developed products that can help keep children safe. “With nuclear families becoming a norm, parents are dependent on these safety devices to make their home and surroundings as child-friendly as possible,” says Satish Sundra of Ram Chander & Sons, the oldest toy shop in Delhi.
