In the first semifinal of the tournament, Bangalore struggled in the first two quarters. However, this southern team, which is known for its sound game, bounced back in the following quarters.

Good height of its players coupled with a bit of luck in the last part of the match saw Bangalore clinch the crucial match, thereby securing a berth in the final.

Though playing in their trademark aggressive style, it was struggling at one stage (24-33). But it capitalised on the mistakes of its opponents just before the final whistle to win by 64-62.
