As a part of celebration of diamond jubilee of All India Bank Employees’ Association’s (AIBEA) foundation day, the coordination committee distributed four tape-recorders and garments to visually-challenged children of National Association for The Blind in the City today.

On the occasion, committee’s general secretary J P Jhanwar said that the bank union along with taking up issues related to banking sector employees and service conditions, has also been working for social causes by organising medical camps, distribution of medicines and clothes and text-books to poor students.

The speakers also highlighted the factors that led to the formation of AIBEA in Kolkata in 1946. A large number of bank union members and bank employees were present to mark the occasion.
